Seasons
- Wednesday, October 27, 2010 -

Things can change overnight. That I know already. Too many times, this has happened. But it's always a journey. This new journey presents much uncertainty but I draw encouragement from the song Bring The Rain.

"And I know there'll be days, when this life brings me pain. But if that's what it takes to praise You, Jesus bring the rain." (:

I'm thankful for this season of learning to depend on God because I know of no other way this could happen. Things will work out to be good. And I know that because God is in control.

The past week has been a challenge. So much has been said, so much has been prayed about but the future will always be uncertain. What I'm thankful for is the support from those I've shared this journey with. You know who you are, and I can't express how thankful and grateful I am for you all:D I've been journalling almost daily, which isn't very common but it's been a joy. My mind is all over the place but my heart is at peace knowing God is in control.

"Be strong in the Lord, and never give up hope. You're gonna do great things, I already know. God's got His hand on you, so dont live life in fear. Forgive and forget, but don't forget why you're here. Take your time and pray. These are the words I would say." -Words I Would Say by Sidewalk Prophets.

U Turn
- Thursday, October 21, 2010 -

After blogging about my days these few weeks, I wonder if I should continue doing so because it doesn't seem very meaningful. Plus, I write down highlights in my organiser of my days so I don't see why I need a blog to write it all down. Plus, some things I'd rather not type out. Might just feed the speculations and rumours out there. So yes, till I find a theme to blog again, it'll stay at this post :D

God, You are AMAZING.

FRIDAY :D

Had alot of fun despite the horrible horrible UGC test that totally killed my brain. But oh wells. Brought along my Monopoly Deal and had so much fun playing with my friends during our break. I can safely say, we're almost hooked onto that game now. haha. It was super funny how we kept stealing property and money from one another. Not to mention the expressions:)
Plus! Winning best poster for work class was so unexpected. Hehe. Everyone did a great job for poster presentation and we were glad to share the chocolates with the rest of the class anyway. After that, it was just Nicole and me waiting for UGC to start. I think we went cranky. ahaha. Just crazy before the exam:/ BUT, I got a call from Kat with SUPER GOOD NEWS. I'm officially psyched for december and I can't believe how God exceeded in answering all our prayers. I literally sat on my bed last night, speechless and just thanking Him after coming home.

It was a HUGE relief after UGC exam was over. Over the moon even though the paper sucked. But I headed home to put my stuff down before going out to meet the Jons for dinner and chill out at Causeway. I bummed on the sofa and almost forgot to leave my house. Haha. Thank God I remembered and left house but those two jokers were late-.- But I had a good time walking around, chatting, and enjoying the friendship :D Pictures!

I think I'll just upload the rest on Facebook because blogger's uploading thing takes forever. Or maybe I dont know the faster method. lol.

Timecheck:4pm! I should go do some more stuff before heading to church. Hehehe.

Changes
- Tuesday, October 12, 2010 -

My mom thinks I'm addicted to prawning. HAHA. Maybe cos I've been doing that like 3/4 times in these few weeks? Ok yeah, that's quite a few times huh. I doubt I'll be going there again for a while. The catch has been pretty bad after that 30 prawns catch. They probably could smell us. Either that or we lack skills. Heh.

Mid terms on Fridayyy. UGC- World Civilisations. I really don't know how to go about studying it. All the ancient civilisations and what not ): Study timeee:D

I always wondered what happened to our friendship. One moment it was all great and now, we don't even talk. It's true, things changed overnight.

Countless Times
- Sunday, October 10, 2010 -

I'm really glad to have the DJ back again. I really am. I guess without the daily devotions, I've not been able to discipline myself with Quiet Time. Hoping this would help in some ways(: Service was great. Doubt there will be any time that it's not good. Haha. Supper was fun. Macs AGAIN. argh. And I think the cheeseburger was weird. My stomach didn't feel too well after eating it. Played Monopoly Deal with Ale, Jon L, Jon T and Ian after our meals. Haha. Really fun(: Caught the last bus home although there was a scary experience before that.

I should stop prawning. But it's so fun. Friday's prawning sucked. 3 hours and we only caught 4 prawns. Thank God we shared the rod. Met a JC friend which was a surprise(: Yeahh, I bet it's cos we didn't buy Frankie's relatives. HAHAHA.

The weeks have been passing by so quickly. It's so scary, I swear. Now it's october and soon, it'll be 2011. HOW DOES TIME FLY SO QUICKLY? Soon, i'm gonna be frail and wrinkly:/ It's 1 33am. I should go bathe and k.o on my bed. It's bad sleeping late. Really bad. And I did just that last night. Slept at 3am but I woke up at 11 30am. hehe.

OKAY. I SHALL LEAVE NOW :D

I have a feeling people don't know the full story. Just don't assume. Your eyes don't tell you everything(:

Time Has To Slow Down
- Wednesday, October 6, 2010 -

MONDAY:

Woke up pretty early to meet Mag at Jurong Point area to attempt some studying at the library. It was half productive for me because I got distracted with her circle questions. Haha. Headed off for 1 for 1 lunch at Swesens where we had to wait quite a bit for the food but it was worth the wait. My chilli fish pasta was superb. Won't mind trying it again. To top it all off, we had fries and hazelnut ice cream:D Delightful! It was off to Mark and Sue's for babysitting and we had such a great time. Zeph slept a lot and was easily satisfied(:

Headed off to CCK to meet Jon and Joel for impromptu prawning at Farmart(: Joel was at home after 2 weeks. So long please. Was missing his nonsense and what not. Accompanied Jon to Macs for his dinner and we had a nice chat while waiting for Joel to come. When he finally came, I was shocked to see how dark he was. Maybe 2 shades darker than before. He decided to go NTUC to buy some bait to use. Headed off to Farmart and it was sooo empty. A group of NS dudes came later but for the first 2 hours, our catch wasn't really good. Shared a rod with Joel and the guys had a prawning competition while I tried learning Thai and reading up on Work. Got bored so I took over. Joel named the bait he bought Frankie. Cracked me up so much when he'll come back without a prawn saying "Frankie got murdered by a prawn):" Hilarious. Tried my hand at it and was quite surprised at the rate that the prawns got hooked. Frankie served us really well and he only costs 70 cents. The NS guys cheated cos they stole my spot after I caught like 5 consecutive prawns. But Joel said "It's Frankie not the spot!" Haha. So cheeky. Total count was 49 prawns(: Finally went off at 12am with Dad picking us up and dropping Jon off outside.

TUESDAY:

Had a game of Monopoly Deal with my brothers around 11pm. It was super fun and I laughed so much. It was such a great time sitting on the bed playing with cards.

I won them both! It was a good game. The first picture is Justin wrapped nicely with my comforter. And the photo with our arms, it was to show how dark Joel had become. HAHAHA. Laugh until stomach pain. Joel smiled and walked off. LOL. This kid is so funny. Love them to bits seriously(:

On another note, I'm super thankful that tomorrow is afternoon class. Get to sleep in. I'm so tired today I'm probably not functioning properly. Slept at 3am and woke up at 6am. Thank God lessons ended at 10am. Probably not a good idea to stay up chatting on the phone but it was still worth it :D I'm sorry I fell asleep halfway! haha. Okay, time to tackle the workload before me :)

There Will Be A Day
- Sunday, October 3, 2010 -

It's 3am in the morning and I heard the soft pitter patter of rain, making me feel safe and comforted to have a roof over my head and a comfy bed to snuggle in later. But I can't help feeling that there could be people out there feeling the rain. Rain can make one feel like I did but on bad days, it just adds on to the pain. Was listening to klove and two songs stood out. The Words I Would Say and Come As You Are. Both songs provided encouragement even to me when I'm having a great time in life. What more comfort would it bring to someone down in life's troubles. So yes, if you need some reassurance, those two songs are it.

Koi and Yami Cravings
- Friday, October 1, 2010 -

Since last thursday morning, I've been listening to klove almost day(: It's been one of the most wonderful experience and the songs are nothing short of encouraging. They not only have nice melodies, but meaningful lyrics that never fail to lift your spirits on a gloomy day. I never thought I would enjoy contemporary christian music since we don't ever sing them in church but it really does help one. Especially when you have nothing left to say to a friend in need, you just send them a song that reminds them of God's love. One song I remember very clearly is The Words I Would Say by Sidewalk Prophets. It has such meaninful lyrics. There are so many more so I guess I shall just list them here. Do take a listen when you can. Trust me, it's worth it(: You never know how God can use a simple song to touch your life or those around you:D

1) The Words I Would Say- Sidewalk Prophets
2) I Need You - Kristy Starling
3) Motions - Matthew West
4) So Long Self - MercyMe
5)Before The Morning - Josh Wilson
6) Bring The Rain - MercyMe

These are just a few songs. There are sooo many worth sharing so you really really should check out klove. Haha.

Okay. It's a friday night and I'm homeee. Didn't go out mainly cos I have school TOMORROW. Yes, on a saturday cos it got rescheduled but it's okayy(: Nutrition lesson shouldn't be that bad. Hehe. Looking forward to tomorrow and the weekends<3 I love you God. Thanks for this week:D

P.S. I REALLY LOVE YAMI YOGURT. And I've yet to get Koi from Clementi! ):
